Getting Started

YOUR FIRST STEPS IN YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY!!

STEP ONE:  No one enjoys reading a new camera's manual!  With our hands-on "Getting to Know Your DSLR" workshop class, we'll help you feel more comfortable with your camera's basic settings and functionality without overwhelming you.  We'll go step by step through auto portrait, landscape, close-up and sports modes to help you understand the pros and cons of these auto settings.  With over 20 years of retail camera sales experience, we'll also give you tips on equipment that will enhance your camera's performance.

STEP TWO:  In our "Basics of Digital Photography" workshop class, you will learn the "basic" techniques needed to create better portraits, landscapes, sports and macro/ close-up photographic images.  We will help you feel more comfortable with changing shutter speeds, apertures and ISOs.  Our instructors will give you the "basic" foundation needed to take your Digital SLR off of the auto settings and into the world of photography.  You will leave your workshop class with a new found confidence to take control of your DSLR camera.

"Basics Applied Theory"-  practice what we've preached.  You've been taught the basics of photographic theory, in our "Basics of Digital Photography" workshop class.  Now learn how to apply shutter speed, aperture and ISO,  in a real life photo situation, with the help of the Instructors of Southeast Photo Adventures.

"Taking Better Portraits"- focuses on the basic techniques to create and capture professional quality outdoor portraits of your kids and family

"Landscape Photography"- capture breathtaking photographs you've only seen on a postcard or fine art print

"Macro Photography"- craft intimate interpretations of form to produce uniquely creative photographic images of the world up close
